Preparing bootable media is destructive to the target device. Selecting the wrong device erases the wrong data, and the operation is not reversible. Before following any procedure described here, back up your data, verify the backup by restoring part of it, and confirm the identity of the target device. You accept full responsibility for actions taken on your own equipment.
